TSUKIJI

9 October, 2018

⚲ TOKYO, JAPAN.

The 6th of October was a market day, a Tsukiji Fish Market day, in Tokyo. The biggest seafood market on the world.

As it is always in the markets: people’s mumblings, truck traffic, locals and turists and heaps of sensations. Sellers, fishermen and town people. Fresh, salthy, dry and sweet fish. Ice. Phone numbers and price tags. Fish boxes, frozen, sashimi and nigiri fish. Lights, papers, knives. Textures and smells with forms.

It was a great welcoming to a cuisine which ended up in Sushizanmai restaurant.

Smiles and wasabi. Warm welcome and gratitude to every person who comes in and gets out. Voices that are been aligned and intertwined. Shashimi and highlighted voices. Flavours and sake.

It sounds like:

ABOUT

The Object Journey is a journey through objects, an audio-visual documentary project. With a careful presentation and a significant degree of emotion, the OJ considers the concepts and rituals that surround everyday objects. The OJ is a map of encounters, of cultural connections. It is a dialogue between the object’s poetry and the audio-visual narrative.
