The Object Journey is a journey through objects, an audio-visual documentary project that explores the inherent relationship between things and people. With a careful presentation and a significant degree of emotion, the OJ considers the concepts and rituals that surround everyday objects, as well as their evolution from an anthropological viewpoint.
The OJ is a map of encounters, of cultural connections. It is a dialogue between the object’s poetry and the audio-visual narrative.
This is a project with a particular social sensitivity that focuses on people, craftsmanship and design. It is a journey into the psyche of the object and of ourselves, it is finding the connections and reinterpreting them.
It is discovering and creating.
What is journer?
Concerned about the direction things around us have taken (new borders, the resurgence of fascism in Europe, pollution that is out of control, hyperconsumerism and increasingly less sensitivity and humanity) we began to consider vital the creation and promotion of a new way of travelling. Being a journer implies travelling conscientiously and responsibly, leaving behind the arrogance and prejudices of the western world and letting yourself be carried along, without a fixed and obsessive focus on utopian and stereotyped destinations. This is how we believe people should travel, enjoying every step of the journey, near or far, alone or in company, to other cultures or your own.
